Borders Greenway

Organisation Name: Borders Greenway
Activities: Borders Greenway (BG) is an unconstituted community group which exists to promote an active travel route between Tweedbank and Eyemouth, based on the old Berwickshire railway line. We work with communities along the route and support Scottish Borders Council in developing the route. There is a Steering Group of around 8 people plus a wider Friends of BG which has around 80 individuals and groups. We maintain a Storymap website for the route which is the key information resource. A Heart for Duns, which is a charity and constituted group, provides administrative services and acts as an umbrella for the BG project.

BWCF funds have been used to cover the costs of running a website, designing and printing publicity materials, a small contribution to making a video of the road cycle route https://bit.ly/roadcyclevideo and village hall hire for meetings of the Steering Group, usually in Gavinton.
