To date 4 of 8 funded editions of the newsletter have been distributed. These have proved successful with various community groups contributing to a calendar of events.

The remaining funds will be used to publish 4 further editions taking the newsletter through to January 2027. The support of BWCF is recognised on each edition by the inclusion of the logo and a “supported by” statement.

The local GP practice has utilised the newsletter to keep the community up to date with the on-going changes to GP provision in Chirnside. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the newsletter for community engagement.

The web page has been enabled for a further year complementing the newsletter so that information can reach a wider audience than the hard copy newsletter. The webpage also includes information about past events and exhibitions held by the Common Good. The grant funding was augmented by a charity discount from our isp provider ecoHost.

New banners have been printed incorporating updated graphics and the old free standing banner frames reused. These have proved popular and were first used when our Hon. Sec. Linda Gray received her British Empire Medal.
