Duns Senior Citizens – Young At Heart

Organisation Name: Duns Senior Citizens Club (Young@Heart)
Activities: We hold fortnightly social meetings for the Senior Citizens of Duns. We have varied talks, demonstrations, slide show presentations etc., also outings and special lunches at Christmas and a Burns’ birthday celebration every year, with all the appropriate entertainment and ‘trimmings’.We are affiliated to the RVS and come under their constitution, and are also a member of Age Scotland.

Every year we have a birthday party around February. This year 2026 is a special one – 60 year’s celebration of being Young@Heart! We were actually fortunate enough to be granted funds for our 50 and also our 60 birthday from yourselves, thank you! Special guests, as well as members were invited, and we also had entertainment! The food was provided by a local hostelry, raffle prizes were donated by local shops and businesses. There was around 70 folk there altogether!
