Trim Trail Fund
We applied for a donation from the Fund to contribute to fundraising to pay for badly needed playground equipment for Ayton primary School (the School). The teaching staff at the School had identified outdoor play equipment as a priority as the pupils did not have anything to play on or with at break times. Children in the Ayton Community play in the School playground in the evenings and at weekends and so the provision of the equipment benefits them too as well as those visiting the village. In consultation with teaching staff we identified that a trim trail type structure to encourage climbing balancing and swinging would best suit the School’s pupils who are aged between 4 and 12 years old. We are very grateful to have received the contribution from the Fund which, along with other monies raised, allowed us to purchase a trim trail play structure which was installed at the School in December 2024.
